Moving Day

I missed blogging more than I thought I would, so the blog returns. I have moved from self-hosted WordPress to WordPress.com for the moment. Expect missing images and broken links for a few weeks.

One of the things I missed sorely about having a blog was the incredible utility of such a repository to the individual maintaining it. Countless times I felt a vague tickle in my brain about literary minutiae and, on the edge of giving up the chase, remembered that I had noted whatever was currently vexing me on my blog at some point. The context of the other posts allowed me to narrow down the time frame and eventually to find the golden item, which often led to further explorations of the institutions and actors involved through the search box and tag cloud.

That last bit is a sticking point regarding WordPress.com hosting. I do not like what it does to tags. I was unaware of the behavior before this morning and was rather shocked to discover it. Time will tell whether this is a mountain or a molehill.

An Experiment

During 2010 I plan to release one short story per month in DRM-free electronic formats.

Hiatus

After a restful break, I feel sufficiently armored to carry on with things connected.
